I'm Afraid of Losing Her so I Keep Saying Yes
Nov 16, 2022"I'm afraid of losing her, so I just keep saying yes."
This quote from a brave mom in my coaching group inspired this week's message. How about you? Does fear make you back down from your boundaries and consequences?
If so, you're in good company. Many parents worry that following through will upset their kid (probably true), push them away (NOT true) or be too harsh (definitely FALSE). No one wants to be the hated, mean parent, but boundaries are actually a crucial part of good parenting!
Watch this video to learn how to set and enforce boundaries:
- Actually creates closeness,
- Shows respect, not dominance,
- Treats kids with dignity,
- Makes us a safe and caring space for them and,
- Leads to more joy and better behavior.
"I'm afraid of losing her, so I just keep saying yes."
A relationship is only as strong as the boundaries within it. While this is true, it can be very painful. My job is to help you overcome that pain, so you can level up and bring this crucial element into your parenting and into your relationship with your child. Curious how that works? Set up a Discovery Call with me, and I’ll walk you through it step by step.

Because of our coaching group, I got to watch the most beautiful unfolding of this mom's story. She had a safe space to share her fears, grapple with what had to be done, and get SO much support from the other group members while she stuck to her boundary and kept her cool with her daughter.
Testimonial
After going through a truly challenging time, she posted in the group: "Thank you...for encouraging and supporting me. I couldn't have done it otherwise. I just hope this is the first step toward a better relationship." This is why I LOVE our group and want every parent to have this kind of support. It is magical.
